Navigation Companies, O.C.G.A. §§ 52-5-1 to 12

General Description

This Chapter governs the formation and powers of navigation companies. Most of the sections deal with business aspects of navigation companies, including formation, incorporation, issuance of capital stock, and registration with the Secretary of State.

Powers of Navigation Companies

Canal companies can charge fees for transporting freight and passengers and can build docks, wharves, and other buildings for this purpose.
