Virtual Environments

Eric provides easy-to-use and powerful tools for creating and managing virtual environments for projects created in Eric.

Extras -> Virtualenv Configurator can be used to create a virtual environment for a project. Once created, the environment will be added to Eric’s Virtualenv Manager. Any environment within the Virtualenv Manager can be selected in the Start > Run dialog or configured on a per project basis in the Project-> Debugger-> Debugger Properties dialog.

Alternatively, virtual environments created outside of Eric (e.g. with pyenv) can be added to the Virtualenv Manager using the Add button and the resulting dialog.
