EƤrgon Tomato Juice is an easy-to-make, low-sodium tomato juice. An interesting variation adds bacon substitute to add a smoky flavor and 10g of protein at the cost of a little fat and sodium.
Ingredients
- 1 12-ounce (340g) can of unsalted, canned tomato paste
- 30 fl. oz water (3 cans full) (890ml)
- 3 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
- 3 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 48-fluid-ounce (1.4 litres) pitcher or similar container
Procedure
- Add tomato paste to container
- Add water
- Add vinegar
- Add black pepper
- Shake vigorously or stir
- Serve
Will last several days in a suitable container in refrigerator.

- Contents will settle over time, shake vigorously before serving.
- Recipe is easy to customize. Some options include adding cilantro, garlic, dill weed, peppers, or a few ounces of spinach.
- Add 3 tbsp (2 servings) of bacon substitute to add a smoky taste and 10 g of protein at the cost of a few grams of fat and 2/10 of a gram of salt.
