Ingredients
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- ½ pound ground beef
- ½ pound bulk sausage
- 1 egg, beaten
- 6 soda crackers, crumbled
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ~1 can cheddar cheese soup
Makes 1 bread pan of meat loaf
Procedure
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Place sliced potatoes in baking dish.
- Place sliced onion over potatoes in baking dish.
- Combine all ingredients except cheddar cheese soup, and mix well.
- Press into baking dish, forming an indentation in the middle.
- Pour cheddar cheese soup in indentation.
- Bake 1 hour at 350°F
- Stand 5 minutes before serving.
Tips
Serving suggestion: Cut vertically with metal spatula, which will yield potato, onion, meat, and cheese in every serving.
