- 1/4 stick of butter
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 can pineapple slices
- 1 can crushed pineapple
- 1 1/3 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
Recipe
- Melt 1/4 stick of butter in skillet
- Cover with 2/3 cup brown sugar
- Add pineapple slices (drained)
- Fill in gaps with crushed pineapple (drained)
- Mix 1 1/3 cups flour, 1 cup sugar, 3/4 cup milk, 1 egg, 1/3 cup shortening, and 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder in a bowl
- Blend together
- Stop blending when it is lemony-white
- Pour mix on top of pineapple/brown sugar in skillet. Put into oven (350 degrees for 40-50 minutes). Use toothpick to determine when finished.
- Remove skillet from oven, and immediately cover with a plate and flip it. Let cool before serving.
