Meunster cheese
A semi-soft cheese that varies in flavor depending on source. The original Muenster cheeses from France have a stronger taste because they are aged longer, while the Muenster/Munster bought in the United States from a deli is usually domestic and is much milder.
Muenster cheese will melt over low heat, but not as quickly as cheddar or cheese stuffs. This property makes it a good choice for heated sandwiches versus Provolone or Swiss.
