Mint refers to the leaves of a perennial herb, typically peppermint (Mentha piperita) or spearmint (Mentha spicata), used for flavoring in candy, teas, and some dishes. An extract is produced for uses where the leaves would be inconvenient.
Mint is also regarded as a good accompaniment to roast lamb, especially in the form of mint sauce. Mint is also used in some beverages and cocktails, like Mojitos
