Ingredients

  • 2 lbs lean (80/20) ground beef
  • 1 Lg onion
  • 3 12oz. cans stewed tomatoes
  • 2 8oz. cans corn
  • 1 8oz. can peas
  • 6 large chopped stalks celery
  • 6 large potatoes cubed
  • 1 8oz. can beef broth
  • 1 8oz. can chicken broth
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp pepper
  • water (add enough to bring level up to 1 inch from top of stockpot... usually about 2 cups)
  • (add pasta if desired)


Procedure

  1. Brown hamburger with onions (until onions are transparent)
  2. add remaining ingredients to a large stockpot
  3. place in 325 degree oven and cook for 6 hours
  4. if pasta is used, add after taken from the oven
