Valerie's chocolate chip cookies

Valerie Patience (née Zipfel) has perfected the following chocolate chip cookie by making these cookies for her family for over 20 years.
These cookies were enjoyed by her children Sarah, Melanie, and Nicholas as well as her husband Paul.
Friends and family also enjoyed these cookies and looked forward to them whenever they had a chance to imbibe.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Baking soda
Hershey's Chipits semi sweet Chocolate chips

Mix ingredients in bowl and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
