Restrictions
Montejunto Velho can only be climbed from August to January due to bird nidification (it is interdicted from February to July).
How to get there
From Lisbon
Take the A1 bound north and leave the highway at exit 4 - Alenquer, Carregado - then continue in the EN1 to the direction of Alenquer. After passing Alenquer continue past Ota and turn left in the direction of "Abrigada, Montejunto".
When reaching "Abrigada" pass through this village and a very shaded crossing, turn right to "Montejunto". The road enters the mountain and starts to become very narrow.
Montejunto Novo
In the mountain pass through two crossings, when you see at a side a road a place to park the car, the sector is on the left.

Montejunto has two climbing sectors, Montejunto Velho (Montejunto old) and Montejunto Novo (Montejunto New).
