I Thessalonians 5:18

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

What day of the week should we be most thankful for? How can we make it special?

Sabbath is the day we should be most thankful.

We can make it special by:

Listen to and talk about the Bible story of the 10 lepers.

This story of "The Thankful Lepers" is perfect for 5 years old.

How to teach gratitude to children.

  • Use all ocasions to remind them to say thank you (remind your child to say thank you on a regular basis)
  • Ask gratitude questions
  • Perform acts of kindness
  • Model Gratitude (say thank you, talk about gratitude)
  • Establish a gratitude ritual (going to bed, during the ride to school, note of appreciation to someone, etc)

Make a craft that illustrates 10 people and/or things that you are thankful for.

Make a “thank you” card to be given to someone.
